Snuggle macaroni in an embrace of cheddar béchamel, baked to perfection, with deliciously crunchy no-waste muffins. Enjoy!
250g macaroni
250ml milk
30g flour
25g butter
200g cheddar cheese
1tsp mustard
50g breadcrumbs
Stage 1
Preheat the oven to 180°c
Stage 2
Cook the pasta as directed on the packet.
Stage 3
To make the béchamel sauce, melt the butter and add the flour. Mix well.
Stage 4
Gradually add the milk . Mix until the béchamel thickens. Add the mustard and ¾ of the grated cheddar.
Stage 5
Mix the pasta with the béchamel. Place in a gratin dish. Sprinkle with the rest of the cheddar. Bake for 30min.
Stage 6
For the muffins, use the leftover macaroni. Pour into muffin molds. Mix a little breadcrumbs with butter to form a crumble, place it on the muffins and sprinkle with cheddar.
Bake for 15 minutes.
